We are pleased to announce the opening of the “Opora” Veteran and Family Hub in Rakhiv, a new space dedicated to supporting military personnel, veterans, their families, and the families of fallen and missing defenders.
The hub was established by the Regional Branch of the First Ukrainian Battalion of Military Chaplains as a place where people can find encouragement, build meaningful relationships, and receive practical and emotional support within a caring community.
At “Opora,” visitors can participate in support groups, individual consultations, educational events, creative workshops, and community activities for both adults and children. The facility also includes comfortable areas for recreation, conversation, and personal growth.
A special focus of the hub is serving veterans, active-duty military personnel, military families, and wives of missing service members. Our goal is to create a safe environment where people can share their experiences, receive support, and discover hope for the future.
The opening of the hub was made possible through the generous support of friends and partners from Ukraine, the Netherlands, Norway, the United Kingdom, and the United States. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to making this vision a reality.
“Opora,” which means “Support,” is more than a building. It is a community where people can find strength, healing, friendship, and a renewed sense of purpose.
We warmly invite veterans, service members, and their families to visit the hub and become part of this growing community.
Together, we are stronger.
