In the summer of 2023, a large team of 16 people made a large-scale trip to eastern Ukraine, dividing into four groups to perform various tasks. Each of the teams contributed to supporting local residents, children, the military, and those most in need.
- The first team organized a children's camp attended by over 200 children. For four days, the children participated in various competitions, sang, played and socialized. Each participant received a gift, which brought even more joy. It was an extraordinary opportunity for the children to feel happy and distracted from the difficult conditions in which they live.
- The second team undertook a construction mission, installing a large 4-meter cross near the Sloviansk-Bakhmut highway. The cross is engraved with the inscription “Conquering Grace” and at the base of the cross is a verse from the book of Isaiah, which reminds us that no weapon directed against us will succeed. The cross was made and brought from Zakarpattia, and now it symbolizes hope and protection for all who travel this road.
- The third team distributed food packages and preached the Gospel. This task has become extremely important for the local population, which faces a daily shortage of basic food and material goods. During this mission, the team distributed 220 food parcels, which included basic food and basic necessities. Each set was designed to provide people with basic food for several days.
But distributing food is only part of the team's work. During each meeting with the locals, we also shared the word of God, preached the gospel and provided spiritual support. Many of the people who received help were very grateful for the attention and support we were able to provide during this difficult time. For many, it was a real blessing, and for us, it was an opportunity to support those who found themselves in difficult conditions of war not only financially but also spiritually.
- The fourth team consisted of chaplains who visited the military, spent time in prayer with different groups of soldiers, listened to their testimonies and provided moral support. The chaplains preached and strengthened the faith of the soldiers, helping them to find the strength to continue their fight.
This trip was an important moment for all participants and those who received help. It showed how much can be achieved by uniting for good. Our team is grateful to everyone who supported this mission and encourages you to join similar projects in the future.
