“Heart of the Family” Program: Time for Connection, Rest, and Support
From April 28 to May 3, 2025, at the “Spring of Hope” Prayer Center in Oleksiivka, Vinnytsia region, the “Heart of the Family” program took place, organized by the Separate Division of the First Ukrainian Battalion of Military Chaplains.
The goal of the program was to create a space for rest, communication, and recovery for military families and veterans.
During six days, participants took part in psychological workshops, communication trainings, art therapy sessions, and group discussions, as well as evening reflection and support meetings.
A special highlight of the week was the couples’ evening, family picnic, creative workshops, and a photo session, giving families the chance to spend quality time together and simply relax.
“We haven’t had time together like this in a long while. Here we could truly listen to each other again,” shared one of the participants.
The “Heart of the Family” project is part of a broader initiative aimed at supporting veterans, military personnel, and their families through programs that promote recovery, mutual support, and stronger relationships.
