Our Detached Unit of the First Ukrainian Military Chaplaincy Battalion spent an unforgettable time in Lviv at a specialized training on “Hope, Healing and Reconciliation in the Trauma of War”. This training was an important step in preparing chaplains for ministry, especially in times of war, where spiritual support and healing of souls are critical.
The course instructor was Captain James Fisher from the United States, who shared his many years of experience working with military personnel who have experienced combat trauma. His lectures were filled with practical advice and deep spiritual guidance that inspired each of us. Not only did we gain new knowledge, but we also realized the importance of our mission to bring hope and healing to those affected by war.
In addition to learning, this time was a great opportunity to meet new people and establish useful contacts. Communicating with colleagues and like-minded people from all over Ukraine helped us to share experiences and build strong professional and friendly ties.
In general, the time in Lviv gave us the opportunity to recharge and relax, which allowed us to continue our ministry with renewed vigor. This period left unforgettable impressions and became an important stage in our preparation for future challenges.
