"Our community provides chaplaincy support in conflict zones along the entire front line. The presence of a chaplain, even if short-term, is a symbol of God's care for each warrior and a reminder that God's strength is enough to withstand the most difficult circumstances.
We regularly visit the defenders of Ukraine in locations near the line of contact with the aim of building long-lasting, deep relationships and friendships that would serve as inspiration, comfort, meaningful reflection on their calling, as well as an act of boundless gratitude to the soldiers for their readiness to pay the highest price for the dignity and freedom of our people.
In addition to gifts from home and essential supplies, we bring them prayer, God's Word, the Holy Eucharist (which is sometimes the only, and often the last, way for a soldier to experience God in their life), and the unfathomable presence of God.
We also care for the moral state of the soldiers, working on ways to prevent addictions, emotional oppression, and despair.
We plan and conduct all our trips and meetings in such a way that through this, the heart of the soldier hears the words from the Lord Himself: 'Do not be afraid, I am with You!'"
